Zac Haines (WDI Magazine)Zachary T. Haines is proud to have Ohio in his blood.  He and his wife Brittany met at Miami University and live in Symmes Township with their sons Preston and Kellan.  Zac’s Southwest Ohio roots extend back many generations. His great-grandfather, Clarence J. Brown was the youngest Lt. Governor in Ohio’s history, Secretary of State, Republican nominee for Governor, and later a U.S. Congressman.  Zac’s Great-Uncle, Bud Brown from Blanchester, served in Congress from 1965-1982, and was Ohio’s Republican nominee for Governor in 1982.

Zac is extensively involved with the Republican Party. Haines is a member of the Hamilton County Republican Executive Committee, serving as a Ward Chair.  He’s also President of the Northeast Hamilton County Republican Club (NEHCRC) and the Founder and President of the Symmes-Loveland Republican Club.  Additional civic roles include Chairman of the Republican Leadership Council, Co-Chair of Center Right, and involvement on both the TCV Committee, and the Hamilton County Republican Boards & Commissions Committee.

Zac is a black belt in Wado-Ryu Karate, which he credits with teaching him discipline and perseverance at an early age.  He also participates in the activities of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) and Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW) because America’s history must be preserved and shared with future generations.  Zac proudly chairs an annual patriotic high school essay contest and also presents medals to deserving R.O.T.C. cadets and midshipman on behalf of these two organizations.

kp_IMG_2036Haines is a fourth generation graduate from Miami University. While there, he became a local chapter leader of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and now serves as a national officer.  In this capacity, Zac mentors young men to help them “cultivate their leadership skills and to treat all people with respect.”

Zac learned the entrepreneurial spirit from his parents, who together built a family-owned business. The family drove around in their station wagon from business to business and while his mother waited with young Zac in the car, his father made sales calls.  They were working toward the American Dream. Under Zac’s leadership, the “purchasing group” has grown from its humble origins in the family car to a nationwide distribution network with a combined annual purchasing volume of over $1 Billion. Haines is also the Founder and CEO of, a growing social trade network with more than 45,000 users.

In 2014, Zac Haines was a candidate for Ohio’s State Board of Education and fought vigorously to ensure that every child receives the quality education that they truly deserve.  With less than two-months to prepare, Zac was able to win the vote in Warren County and eastern Hamilton County.

Zac believes in a limited and efficient government that can better help people who truly need help, without raising taxes and chasing jobs out of town.
